If this sounds familiar to you, then let me reassure you that I hear this comment, or a version of it, more times than you can imagine in any given year, especially from family, friends, past clients and anyone else who knows I’m a photographer!
You see, the problem is this…
Life is beyond busy, especially for those of us who are running our own businesses. One day we had an idea for a service or a product that we were passionate about putting out into the world. Then before we knew it, that amazing idea became one tiny part of a life where we are the CEO, marketing director, accountant, copywriter, website builder, social media expert and the creator! And that’s just if you’re a one person business without any other employees! By the end of the week, we are so grateful to have just survived and ticked off a few items on our to-do lists, and photographs are the last thing on our minds.
I know I’m not alone here, right?!!
I’ve learned over the years that our priorities are constantly shifting, and while things don’t always live up to the ideals we had when we set out on journey as a business owner, it doesn’t mean we place any less value on them. It’s no wonder that booking a branding or product photo shoot falls to the bottom of our lists, when we are struggling to hold all the balls, let alone get them in the air and juggle them.
Now not only is this is a real shame, but we are actually harming our business by not having the best images possible to share with our clients and customers. We are living in a world where images play an integral part in our daily lives. We all shop online, even more so in the last few years when so many businesses moved online as a result of the pandemic. From gadgets to greetings cards, books to bespoke artwork, food to flowers, the first port of call for many of us is the internet, and if our images aren’t up to scratch, the next business owner is only a click away.
So the next question I have to ask myself is this:
How can I help more businesses achieve the high quality, consistent images that will promote their online presence without the hassle and stress that can cause?
But I’ve got the solution!
I don’t know about you, but if the majority of my business admin wasn’t automated, I’d be in one huge mess! Bills wouldn’t get paid, subscriptions would run out, I would miss appointments and I wouldn’t be able to keep track of anything. Having these things covered automatically goes a long way to ensuring the important things don’t get missed here at Janine Boyd Photography.
Which made me think, what if I could apply this same principle to helping other people like you create the images and visuals that are so essential for your business, but without 99% of the stress that so often goes along with it?
And that’s what I’ve done! This autumn I am launching something that I believe is pretty unique in our wee country.
It’s called the Life Brand Club.
I’ve designed this membership club to make it easier and (more) affordable for you to plan regularly updating your product or brand photos. It will give you a budget-able way of adding consistent visual assets to your content collection, so that your customers and clients can clearly see how your services can benefit them. It is this consistency that allows them to get to know and recognise you and what you do that turns followers into buyers!
Here are all the details
If your brand is your products
Each year members will receive:
3 product shoots per year for up to 10 items per shoot
1 of these may be themed if required
Your choice of timing depending on new product releases or seasonal needs
All digital images from each shoot.
If your brand is people and services
Each year members will receive:
A half day branding photo session on location to include;
Headshots
Behind the scene or process images
All digital images to download

The option to renew your membership at a locked-in rate - as long as you maintain your membership, your pricing never goes up.
Important info
The number of brand memberships available will be kept low in order to allow me to create a truly VIP experience for members.
Enrolment will open twice a year - in early September and in January for a limited period of time. Founding member enrolment will open on Wednesday 6th September 2023 and will remain open until Friday 15th September 2023 at 11.59pm (unless membership fills up before that.)
Joining the membership means you are making a commitment to a minimum of 12 monthly payments at your chosen level.
I will contact you with my availability three times a year, once in early September for enrolment, again on the first week of January and finally in the first week of April. You can choose which season(s) work best for your sessions and book accordingly with me directly.
Availability will be on a first-come, first-served basis (so joining the membership early during the enrolment period will be particularly beneficial if you want first dibs on those coveted peak autumn spots). Once you receive my email to say that booking is open, it is up to each member to come back to me with their options.
For all three booking periods, I will guarantee that there is at least one slot open for each member (probably several more), so that in the unlikely case that every member wanted to schedule in a single season, there would still be room.
In future years, existing members will have access to the first booking availability calendar the day before new member enrolment begins, making it beneficial to be an early joiner both in terms of price and scheduling priority.
Rescheduling due to bad weather, illness etc will be handled as with all my sessions, working it out together. If you need to reschedule your session for another reason, eg, a work commitment, I will work with you to get a new time as close as possible to the original. I just ask that you inform me as soon as you realise there is an issue with your scheduled time.
As your year comes to a close, you will be asked if you wish to renew or cancel your membership. There is no commitment beyond the year and there will be no surprise renewals.
Should you wish to renew but either switch up or down a level of membership, you are more than welcome to do so, however, pricing and offerings may change year on year.

FAQ
Q: Will I get my digital files right away, even if I’ve only made one or two payments before the session?
A: Absolutely! Once you sign up and make that initial payment, you can book your session immediately (you’ll get the link for the first booking calendar right away). You will also receive your gallery on my normal schedule (typically 2-3 weeks after the session), and will be able to download your files as soon as you receive that link.
Q: I don’t really think I need brand photos every year. Can I buy a membership this year, drop out for next year, then join again later?
A: In theory you can… but there are a couple of important issues to consider. Issue 1: My guess is that even if the membership doesn’t fill completely this year, by next year it will be full and spots might get hard to come by if members continue to renew (I don't anticipate adding new memberships, just offering any un-renewed spots during the annual enrollment period). Issue 2: it’s likely that the price will increase in future years. By maintaining continuous membership, you’re guaranteed to be locked in at the current rate. If you drop out and re-join, you will have to do so at the rates offered that year. Pro Tip: theoretically, it is possible to have almost 2 years between annual brand sessions. For example, if you have your first one in late autumn, 2023, you could schedule your second one for late early autumn 2025, thereby keeping within the billing sessions of each year.
Q: What if I sign up and there aren’t any session dates available that work for me?
A: While I can’t guarantee that a specific date and time will be available when you go to sign up, I am making myself as available as possible for my membership clients, with the exception of weekends as these are often your busy time or your down time. Even if the membership fills completely, there will be more than enough to go around. So the likelihood is that if you don’t drag your feet to the very end of enrolment and have at least a tiny bit of wiggle room in your calendar, you'll have several options.
Q: What if I find I need an extra product shoot during the year?
A: No need to stress! Members of The Brand Club will also have the option to book an additional shoot at a reduced rate - just another of the VIP perks you will have access to!
